Wellington Barn's 1,000 wedding! Could it be you?

In 2024 Wellington Barn will host its 1,000th wedding!! Eeekk!

To celebrate we are giving our 1,000th wedding couple £1,000! Could it be you?

You could be our 1,000th wedding couple. To be in with a chance simply book your wedding day at The Barn in 2024. It’s that simple!

Since opening its barn doors in 2002 to its first wedding couple we’ve been a part of nearly 1,000 wedding couples who have enjoyed their special day at Wellington Barn.

Over the years hard work and dedication has meant The Barn has been transformed to become the stylish, rustic, and Wiltshire’s only authentic Wedding Barn Venue that it is today whilst preserving as much of the Barn's history as possible.

The Barn is beautifully positioned amongst the rolling Wiltshire hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which provides the most stunning backdrop for photos. The fabulous wildflower meadow was introduced to provide great scenery for natural photos and to also lend a helping hand to the natural wildlife.

We can host weddings inside and out! Inside, our beautiful ceremony room which used to be the Old Granary still holds plenty of original features providing a natural palette for any décor designs. Outside, our secluded gazebo has observed hundreds of outdoor ceremonies, and thanks to the great British weather and hundreds of different weather types it’s meant we have perfected the art of moving last-minute weddings from outside to in and vice versa.

The Main Barn which was originally the Old Yard has been constructed to allow the breathtaking views of the countryside to be enjoyed by all, come rain or shine, through the panoramic windows which span the whole of one side. This room has also undergone many style changes throughout the years. From a draped white ceiling and chandeliers to modern lighting and a hessian-draped ceiling.

The Skillings which were the original home for the Oxen, which were used to pull the rudimentary farm machinery, is now used as a dressing room, a lounge area, and a bar area. The adjacent Skillings now house our kitchen and toilets.

The Bar’s location was decided for us by the original designers. When it came to renovating the Barn one of the first thoughts was ‘Where do we put the Bar? Easy, let's put it where the water troughs are for the animals’. The bar is a well-thought-out and functional feature of the Barn and always draws attention from our Wedding Couples and guests.

The want for onsite accommodation increased over the years so in 2018 3 Shepherds Huts were bought.

These proved a big hit with wedding couples and guests enquired to see if we had anything else available which gave us the idea to introduce glamping tents.

From April to September, you will find 5 large glamping tents which also have a converted horse box with flushing loos, hot shower shack & tea and coffee station to complete the glamping experience.

In January 2022 Hyggee House opened its doors. This awesome eco-house is the ultimate addition to your wedding! With 4 double bedrooms, 2 ensuites and a snug with a sofa bed, Hyggee House sleeps up to 10 guests and provides the most sumptuous & luxurious stay in a truly unique and spectacular location, overlooking a beautiful lake just 1/2 mile from Wellington Barn. This has proven to be a big hit with our wedding couples and they’re guests.

If you’re thinking about becoming a Wellington Barn Wedding couple don’t delay.
